A $400,000 purchase by Everett Dobson's Cheyenne Stable out of the 2024 Keeneland September Sale, PRIVATE TEXT (Nyquist) makes a belated first trip to the races Tuesday afternoon. The March foal marks the first runner for her unraced dam Batik (Honor Code), who was purchased by Hill 'n' Dale at Xalapa for $390,000 with this filly in utero at the 2022 Keeneland November Sale. Batik is a daughter of the stakes-winning Private Gift (Unbridled), whose seven winners include SW & GSP Secret Someone (A.P. Indy) and three-time graded winner Private Mission (Into Mischief). Private Gift's late daughter Gift List (Bernardini) produced 2019 GI Alabama Stakes heroine Dunbar Road (Quality Road). This is the deeper family of GI Kentucky Oaks winner Secret Status (A.P.
